These notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you use our app and website. Personal data is any information that allows you to be identified.

2. Data Collected in Our App

Important content protected end-to-end

Your most important content, such as journal entries, photos, and messages, is protected with end-to-end encryption. Only you and your partner can decrypt these records. Even we, as the operators, cannot read the core content. Technical data, like usage statistics, is processed pseudonymously to improve the app without compromising your privacy.

Which data is collected?

• Account data (Apple ID, email address for the account setup)
• App usage data (broken down anonymously to improve the experience)
• Content created by you (stored encrypted)

3. Hosting & Data Transfers

Our backend

Our infrastructure is exclusively located in Germany. We do not share personal data with third parties or transfer it outside the EU. The synchronization between your devices runs through our backend, and we only transfer the data required for syncing. 4. Your Rights

You are entitled to the following rights:

• Request access to your stored personal data
• Demand correction of inaccurate personal data
• Request deletion of your data
• Request restriction of data processing
• Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (data portability)
• Object to data processing

5. Data Export and Deletion

You can export all your data from the app at any time. The export function is located under “My Data” in the app settings. Deleting your account is also available in the settings. After deletion, all your data will be completely removed from our servers within 30 days.

6. Cookies and Analytics Tools

Website

Our website does not use tracking cookies. We only use technically necessary cookies to keep the site functioning.

App

The app does not rely on third-party analytics tools. We only collect anonymized crash reports through Apple’s built-in crash reporting to improve stability.
